The German Army captured numerous French H39s and adapted them for their own purposes, designating them Panzerkampfwagen 39H. One such adaptation involved mounting a leFH 18 Field Howitzer to the chassis, creating a mechanized artillery piece known as the 10.5cm leFH 18(Sf) auf Geschutzwagen 39H(f).
