Corgi’s 1:144 scale Vickers Vicount is constructed almost entirely of solid diecast metal with only the smallest amount of plastic, a quality common to most of Corgi’s 1:144 series aircraft. The top portion of the model’s fuselage is cast as one solid piece, and pad-printed windows and doors provide a seamless touch that does not interrupt the lines of the aircraft. The tail and wing with integrated engine nacelles and thinly stamped propellers are solid diecast metal. The series includes the early smaller 700 variant with circular boarding doors and the stretched 800 variant with square boarding doors. Wheels-down configuration of the model is easy with landing gear that installs quickly, and air stairs are included for enhanced ground display (on most releases; see photos).

The Corgi "Aviation Archive" presents highly-detailed, ready-made diecast models of military and civilian aircraft. The vast Aviation Archive range has become the standard by which all other diecast airplane ranges are judged. Each Corgi model is based on a specific aircraft from an important historical or modern era of flight, and has been authentically detailed from original documents and archival library material.
