Corgi’s 1:144 scale Bristol Britannia is constructed almost entirely of solid diecast metal with only the smallest amount of plastic, a quality common to most of Corgi’s 1:144 series aircraft. The large rudder and top portion of model’s fuselage are cast as one solid piece, and pad-printed windows and doors provide a seamless touch that does not interrupt the lines of the aircraft. The solid diecast metal wing features large engine nacelles and thinly stamped propellers. Wheels-down configuration of the model is easy with landing gear that installs quickly, and air stairs are included for enhanced ground display (on some releases; see photos).
