Boeing claims the 777-200LR (772C) will be the world's longest ranging commercial airliner, capable of flying 9420 nautical miles (17,446 km) in 18 hours. It will achieve this with huge 115,000 lbf (489 kN) thrust turbofans, a significantly increased MTOW and optional auxiliary fuel tanks in the rear cargo hold. Other new features include raked wingtips, a new main landing gear and additional structural strengthening. The Roll-out was at February, 15th, 2005. The first flight was at March 8, 2005, with EIS in January 2006. After its introduction into service, the only mass-produced aircraft with greater unrefuelled range will be the KC-10 Extender. Developed for the company's all-new 7E7 Dreamliner passenger airplane, the colors and design are being extended to Boeing's current passenger airplanes and collateral items including models, brochures, World Wide Web sites and apparel. On an airplane's exterior, four shades of blue and two shades of white combine throughout the plane's length as a visual depiction of the horizon and sky. These colors replace the design introduced in 1981. The new colors are the fifth standard commercial airplanes color set in the company's history.

Boeing 777-200LR

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection. Standard varients have a range of 4,200 nautical miles while Extended Range (ER) variants can fly for 6,600 nautical miles and the Longer Range (LR) variant is the world's longest range airliner capable of flying 7,800 nautical miles.
