Dewoitine D.520 Display Model
Armee de l'Air Corps Franc Pommies

The M.S.406 was a French Armee de l'Air fighter aircraft built by Morane-Saulnier starting in 1938. Numerically it was France's most important fighter during the opening stages of World War II but was under-powered, weakly-armed and lacked full armour protection when compared to its contemporaries. Most critically, it was out-performed by the Messerschmitt Bf 109E during the Battle of France. The M.S.406 held its own in the early stages of the war (the so-called Phony War), but when the war restarted in earnest in 1940, 387 were lost in combat or on the ground (for various reasons) for 183 kills in return. The type was more successful in the hands of Swiss and Finnish air forces who developed indigenous models.

Dewoitine D.520

Designed as a more modern improvement on the unpromising D513, the D520 was first flown on October 2nd, 1938.

Easy Model Platinum Collection

The Easy Model "Platinum Collection" range presents highy-affordable, ready-made plastic models of military aircraft. While these models may not have the same "heft" as their diecast siblings, they do offer remarkable value for money. Most importantly, they look perfectly at home alongside diecast modes, allowing collectors to "flesh out" their collection with types and paint-schemes not yet available in diecast.

Easy Model "Platinum Collection" display model airplanes feature:

  • Molded plastic construction.
  • Realistic panel lines, antennas, access panels and surface details.
  • Pad printed markings and placards that won't fade or peel like decals.
  • Authentic ordnance loads.
  • Permanently extended landing gear.
