The ACMAT Light Tactical Vehicle (ALTV) is a militarized pickup. This vehicle is intended for utility, reconnaissance and law enforcement applications. Some sources report that it is based on Nissan commercial pickup truck. The ALTV was revealed in 2009. Its production commenced during the same year. By 2014 more than 1000 of these military vehicles have been sold to undisclosed customers. It is available with two-door (ALTV SC) or four-door (ALTV DC) cab. An open-cab version (ALTV Torpedo) for special forces is also available. This light military vehicle can carry up to 10 men both in the cab and cargo area. Bars and canvas cover for the cargo area are optional. The ALTV can be armed with a ring-mounted 7.62-mm or 12.7-mm machine gun, or 40-mm automatic grenade launcher. It can be also used as a weapon carrier for anti-tank or anti-aircraft missiles.

Why Resin?
It's very expensive to produce die-casting molds, and manufacturers must sell a large number of models from each mold in order to recoup development costs. Some subjects are so obscure that it's difficult to sell large quantities of them. Resin-casting is a much simpler and less expensive process, and manufacturers can use it to make limited runs of models that can't be cost effectively manufactured in diecast metal. With resin-cast models, collectors can add fascinating and unusual subjects to their collections without the time and difficulty of assembling and painting a model kit.
