The German city of Friedrichshafen won a contest of the Deutsche Telekom to upgrade and develop a high-performance telecommunications infrastructure. To increase the attention towards this project, an accordingly decorated Zeppelin has since the end of 2010 been turning rounds over Lake Constance.
Designed as a commercial airship, the Zeppelin NT (Neue Technologie) was first flown in September 1997. The semi-rigid design differs considerably from the early Zeppelin rigid airships and the modern non-rigid blimps. By making extensive use of modern construction materials, the NT is very lightweight yet extremely strong. © Copyright 2003-2024 The Flying Mule, Inc.
