The Air Force Museum Monino owns numerous treasures, among them a few Mi-8s. One of the many operators had been the Soviet Air Force which also utilized them for combat operations for decades, equipped with four unguided rocket pods as depicted on the exhibit.
Designed as a turbine-powered replacement for the Mi-4, the Mi-8 was first flown on July 8th, 1961. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
