On June 10th 667 was renamed Sturmartillerie-Brigade. In July 1944, during the Soviet Great Summer Offensive (Operation Bagration - Soviets clearing Germans from Belarus and eastern Poland) the brigade was almost wiped out. Survivors escaped to Germany and consolidated with survivors of Sturmgeschutz-Brigade 245. They were transferred to Western Front and engaged Anglo-American forces in the Netherlands Sept-Oct 1944. On November 23, 1944 the 667 was cancelled.

Volkswagen VW 82 Kubelwagen

Designed by Ferdinand Porsche as a low-cost and light-weight utility vehicle, the Kubelwagen prototype was completed in 1938 and entered full scale production in February 1940. The chassis design was initially derived from the highly successful Beetle while the bodywork was kept deliberately light-weight and functional. In fact, the name "Kubelwagen" literally translates to "Bucket Seat Car". Unlike the US Jeep, the Kubelwagen was a two-wheel drive vehicle but its high ground clearence and low gearing yielded excellent off-road performance and enabled it to keep pace with marching soldiers. The Kubelwagen was a mainstay of the German Military and saw action in every theater.

Hobby Master's 1:48 scale Kubelwagen is constructed almost entirely in diecast metal with plastic components used to accurately replicate scale details such delicate front and rear bumpers and side mounted mirrors. The open rag-top configuration provides a clear view of the Kubelwagon's interior, including a pad-printed instrument panel, simulated canvas seats, rifle rack and a complete set of driver's controls. The exterior is fitted with a separately applied spare wheel and shovel up front and pad-printed license plate at the rear. Axel skid plates, both front and rear, and twin exhausts are viewable on the model's underside.
