In early WWII, the U.S. Army wanted a small multi purpose vehicle capable of many missions. Designed to meet a US Department of War requirement for a light, cross-country reconnaissance vehicle, the Willys MB Army Jeep was manufactured between 1941 and 1945. The Willys Jeep was the original version of what would later become one of the most iconic vehicles in American history, evolving into a popular civilian vehicle that is still being produced today. The Willys Jeep was a compact, four-wheel drive vehicle that rapidly became one of the most prolific vehicles of WWII. Forces of Valor's 1:32 scale Willys Jeep is constructed almost entirely from diecast metal with plastic components used for scale details such as front windscreen, seats and drivers controls. The interior has a pad-printed instrument panel, removable driver figure, a steering wheel, three transmission gear-shifts and removable pole-mounted rotating 50 cal. machine gun with separately applied ammo cans. The windscreen folds and has an attached rifle, and separately applied battlefield equipment includes shovels, hatchets, jerry cans and removable spare tire. The front wheel is steerable and the drive train and leaf-spring suspension are clearly visible. Extra battlefield equipment such as a radio and rucksacks are included for enhanced display.
