Air Vice Marshal James Edgar "Johnnie" Johnson was a RAF pilot who shot down 38 Luftwaffe aircraft during World War II, thus becoming the British flying ace with the most "kills" during the war. This aircraft is also famous as the last in which he scored a kill on September 27, 1944.
