This title represents an F-15E from 494 FS at RAF Lakenheath. This scale model is beautifully enveloped in its unique Tiger Meet markings, including tiger stripes on the lower fuselage, and a tiger on the tail. "Tiger Meets" were first held in 1962, and have since evolved into a first-class unofficial NATO air force exercise where participants fly all manner of combined missions. Flight crews are given the opportunity to interact with those of other nations as they carry out a wide spectrum of training.
Designed to meet US Air Force requirements for an air superiority fighter to replace the F-4 Phantom, the F-15 Eagle first flew on July 27, 1972. Following reviews of proposals, the United States Air Force selected McDonnell Douglas's design in 1969 to meet the service's need for a dedicated air superiority fighter. Since entering service in 1976, it is among the most successful modern fighters, with over 100 victories and no losses in aerial combat, with the majority of the kills by the Israeli Air Force. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.

The canopy can be configured for display in the open position revealing a detailed cockpit interior. The speed brake is also configurable for displayed in the deployed position. The thin cambered wings and twin vertical fins all feature hand paint strobe lights. The "dog-toothed" elevators rotate, and intricate exhaust and heat weathering detail surround the simulated titanium exhaust nozzles.
