In 1946, the famous aerobatics unit of the United States Navy was founded. Every year, they enthuse over 10 million onlookers with their breathtaking acrobatic flights. As an accompanying transport airplane for all their equipment the Lockheed C-121J was used between 1968 and 1970, the military version of the legendary civilian L-1049. Both went down in aviation history as Super Constellations.
