The Bedford QLD was the general service variant in the QL series of vehicles. The QLD was the most common British-made 4X4 and was produced until 1945. The QLD was a vital method of carrying fuel, artillery, ammunition, supplies and food to troops on the move. Besides being a general service vehicle the QLD was produced as a mobile canteen, mobile kitchen, observation tower, dump truck. These trucks or lorries were used extensively by the British forces in Europe and performed very well in the North African desert.
The Bedford QL series was a range of 3-ton 4x4 trucks produced between 1941 and 1945 for use by the British Armed Forces in WWII. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
