RCAF CC-150 Polaris is an Airbus A310-304 c/n 446 that was manufactured for Wardair of Canada. Its first flight took place on December 17, 1987 and was registered asC-GBWD. In January 1990 Wardair merged with Canadian Airlines with Wardair aircraft, including C-GBWD becoming the property of Canadian. The Canadian Government purchased C-GBWD and took delivery on June 5, 1993. The aircraft was registered as 15001 and was modified as a VIP transport aircraft for government executives. In 2013 the aircraft had a major paint scheme upgrade.
