Includes metal display stand. Designed for the US Air Force as an air-superiority fighter with superior acceleration, range and maneuverability, the F-15 first flew on July 27th, 1972. This aircraft has highly advanced weaponry and avionics design, including low wing loading and a high engine thrust-to-weight ratio, features that account for its maneuverability and talent for performing tight, high speed turns. The F-15's original design was so successful that more than a decade later it was re-envisioned as the F-15E Strike Eagle, an all-weather strike fighter. As one of the most successful military aircraft in aviation history, the F-15 is likely to remain in service until 2025.© Copyright 2003-2010 The Flying Mule, Inc.
Witty's 1:72 scale F-15s feature an impressive amount of pad-printed markings including some elaborate paint schemes and numerous warning placards found adorning the entire airframe. They are highly detailed with a delicate thin cambered wing, simulated stainless-steel heat shielding surrounding the engine exhausts, movable razor thin all metal elevators and rudders. The underside of the aircraft features non-configurable, yet highly detailed, sturdy metal landing gear with a full complement of beautifully pad printed ordnances. Showing remarkable attention to detail, actuators extend and retract with the hinged canopy and speed brake and compressor fans will even spin if air is blown into the engine intakes! © Copyright 2003-2010 The Flying Mule, Inc.
