Douglas DC-8-31, construction number 45417, was delivered to Panagra (Pan American Grace Airways) as N8274H in 1960. The aircraft operated long-haul international routes connecting New York with destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America. N8274H was configured for passenger comfort with a pressurized cabin and featured Pan Am's classic blue and white livery with the globe logo. It played a key role in expanding Pan Am's global network during the 1960s, offering reliable jet service for both business and leisure travelers. After several years of service, the aircraft was sold to secondary operators or withdrawn from use.
