Boeing 707-321C, was registered as G-BFLE with Gulf Air, the multi-national Gulf carrier then jointly owned by Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Oman, and Qatar, though the manufacturer serial number for this specific airframe is not confirmed in available public records. G-BFLE supported Gulf Air's early convertible passenger/cargo long-haul network connecting the Gulf states to international destinations during a formative period for the region's aviation development, before the carrier's transition to widebody jet aircraft. Gulf Air's original four-nation ownership structure made it a genuinely regional flag carrier serving destinations across all four partner states, a model that gradually gave way as each individual emirate and kingdom pursued its own national aviation ambitions through carriers including Emirates, Etihad, Oman Air, and Qatar Airways.
