Curtiss C-46 Commando, was registered as CF-NAE with Eastern Provincial Airways, a Canadian regional carrier based in Newfoundland. Eastern Provincial Airways built its network connecting Newfoundland and Labrador's scattered coastal communities using rugged aircraft like the C-46, valued for its ability to operate from the region's often rudimentary airstrips lacking paved runways or modern navigation aids, before the carrier's eventual 1984 acquisition by Canadian Pacific Air Lines as part of the broader consolidation of Canada's fragmented regional aviation sector during the 1980s that ultimately produced the unified Canadian Airlines International in 1987.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
