Curtiss C-46 Commando, was registered as CF-HYI with Pacific Western Airlines, a major Canadian regional carrier based in western Canada. Pacific Western built an extensive network across British Columbia, Alberta, and the Canadian Arctic using rugged aircraft like the C-46 to serve remote northern communities and resource-industry customers including mining and oil exploration camps, eventually growing into one of Canada's largest airlines before merging with Canadian Pacific Air Lines and Eastern Provincial Airways in 1987 to form Canadian Airlines International, the country's second major national carrier alongside Air Canada.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
