Airbus A310, was registered as S2-ADF with Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the Bangladeshi flag carrier. Biman introduced the A310 to modernize its long-haul international fleet connecting Dhaka to destinations across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, supporting the large Bangladeshi diaspora and migrant worker population traveling to Gulf states for employment, a role that has remained central to Biman's route network and revenue base for decades as remittances from overseas workers continue to represent one of Bangladesh's most significant sources of foreign currency income.
