Boeing 767-2K2(ER), was registered as VH-RMA and appears in association with Vietnam Airlines, though the Australian "VH-" registration prefix suggests the aircraft may have been leased from an Australian entity. Vietnam Airlines introduced the 767 to expand its long-haul international capability beyond its predominantly domestic and regional Soviet-era fleet during the country's post-Doi Moi economic opening, supporting the carrier's growing connections to destinations across Asia, Europe, and Australia during the 1990s and 2000s as Vietnam's aviation sector gradually transitioned away from its earlier near-total dependence on Soviet-supplied aircraft.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. With more than 1000 aircraft produced, the 767 is the second most prolific wide-bodied airliner after the 747. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
