Douglas DC-6A, registered N100CE, originally built as a military C-118A Liftmaster in 1953, flies for Everts Air Cargo, the Alaska-based operator that holds the distinction of being the last scheduled airline in the United States to fly the DC-6. Everts Air maintains a fleet of vintage DC-6s, C-46s, and DC-9s configured for freight, valued for their ability to operate from Alaska's often unpaved and remote airstrips, with N100CE continuing to serve as a working cargo aircraft into the 2020s, decades after most DC-6s left commercial service elsewhere in the world.
