Douglas DC-8-32   4.5"   4.25"

McDonnell Douglas DC-8-32, registered CF-TLB, flew for Air Canada (then known as Trans-Canada Air Lines for much of the aircraft's early service life) as part of the carrier's original fleet of DC-8s supporting the airline's first generation of long-haul jet operations connecting Canada to international destinations. Trans-Canada Air Lines rebranded as Air Canada in 1965, and the carrier's early DC-8 fleet represented a critical modernization step that transformed the airline from a regional and transcontinental operator into a genuine international long-haul carrier competing directly with other major flag carriers.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Douglas DC-8-32

Designed to compete with the Boeing 707, the DC-8 was first flown on May 30th, 1958.
