Boeing 727-100, registered N744EV, flew for Evergreen International Airlines, the Oregon-based cargo and charter operator founded by Delford Smith, as part of the carrier's fleet of converted 727 freighters supporting domestic and international cargo operations. Evergreen built a diverse aviation business spanning helicopter services, agricultural aviation, and dedicated freighter operations using aircraft including the 727, before the parent company's eventual 2013 bankruptcy and closure amid mounting debts brought an end to more than five decades of continuous Evergreen aviation operations.
