McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30, construction number 46850, was delivered to Laker Airways as N832LA in 1977. The aircraft was used on the airline's low-cost Skytrain transatlantic services, primarily connecting London Gatwick with Miami and other U.S. destinations. Configured in a high-density layout, N832LA maximized passenger capacity for affordable long-haul travel and wore Laker's distinctive white and blue livery with Skytrain branding. Following Laker Airways' financial collapse in 1982, the aircraft was sold to other operators. N832LA remains a symbol of Laker's innovative approach to budget long-haul flying and a key part of the airline's DC-10 fleet history.
