Sud Aviation Caravelle, registered LX-LGF, flew for Luxair, Luxembourg's flag carrier, as part of the small nation's early jet fleet supporting regional European routes from Luxembourg City. Luxair, established in 1948, relied on the French-built Caravelle to connect the tiny Grand Duchy to major European cities during the 1960s and 1970s, an important step in establishing Luxembourg's independent air transport links despite the country's small size and its location between larger neighboring aviation markets in France, Germany, and Belgium.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as short/medium-range jet airliner, the Caravelle was first flown on May 27th, 1955. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
