Sud Aviation Caravelle, registered OO-SRE, flew for Sabena, the Belgian flag carrier, as part of the airline's early fleet of French-built jets supporting European short-haul routes from Brussels during the 1960s and 1970s. Sabena, one of the world's oldest airlines tracing its roots to 1923, was among the significant European operators of the Caravelle, using the type to modernize its short-haul network before the airline's eventual 2001 bankruptcy and collapse led to the creation of successor carrier Brussels Airlines.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as short/medium-range jet airliner, the Caravelle was first flown on May 27th, 1955. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
