Sud Aviation Caravelle, registered OO-SRF, flew for Sabena, the Belgian flag carrier, as part of the airline's early fleet of French-built jets supporting European short-haul routes, alongside sister aircraft OO-SRE. Sabena's Caravelle fleet supported the carrier's dense European short-haul network from Brussels during the 1960s and 1970s, an important chapter in the airline's mid-century modernization before Sabena's eventual 2001 bankruptcy and collapse, which led to the creation of successor carrier Brussels Airlines from the remnants of Sabena's operations.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as short/medium-range jet airliner, the Caravelle was first flown on May 27th, 1955. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
