Boeing 707   4.5"   4.5"

Boeing 707-465, registered G-ARWD, flew for Air Mauritius, the Indian Ocean island nation's flag carrier, though the British registration prefix suggests the aircraft was leased from a UK-based operator given Air Mauritius's limited early fleet resources. Air Mauritius relied on leased widebody-adjacent aircraft like the 707 to establish its earliest long-haul international connections from the remote island nation to Europe and Africa during the carrier's formative years following its 1967 founding.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Boeing 707

Designed as the first American turbine-engined airliner, the 707 was first flown on July 15th, 1954. The aicraft was designed from the start as a commercial airliner and military transport/refuelling platform and various models rolled off the production lines for 25 years.
