Boeing 707-421, registered 9Y-TDQ, flew for BWIA West Indies Airways as part of the Trinidad and Tobago flag carrier's fleet of 707s supporting long-haul international routes connecting the Caribbean to London and other destinations. BWIA operated as the region's primary long-haul international carrier for decades before the airline's 2006 restructuring into Caribbean Airlines, with 9Y-TDQ supporting BWIA's role connecting Trinidad and other Caribbean islands to distant international markets during the carrier's early jet age.

Designed as the first American turbine-engined airliner, the 707 was first flown on July 15th, 1954.
