Douglas DC-8-61, serial number 45987, entered service with Kalitta Air as N813CK. The aircraft operated as a freighter within Kalitta Air's global cargo network, transporting freight across North America, Europe, and other international destinations. Configured with a cargo door and reinforced main deck, the DC-8-61 provided strong payload capability for its time. Powered by Pratt and Whitney JT3D engines, the aircraft delivered reliable performance for long haul cargo missions. N813CK supported Kalitta Air's operations before older DC-8 freighters were gradually phased out.
