Boeing 707-328, serial number 17919, entered service with Air France as F-BHSE. The aircraft joined Air France's long haul fleet and was also operated on services associated with Japan Air Lines, reflecting cooperation between the two international carriers during the early jet era. Configured for intercontinental passenger service, the 707 dramatically reduced journey times on long distance routes. Powered by four Pratt & Whitney JT4A turbojet engines, F-BHSE provided the speed, range, and capacity required for expanding international air travel and contributed to Air France's growing worldwide network.
