Boeing 727-227F, serial number 21567, entered service with BAX Global as N6816. The aircraft operated as a dedicated cargo aircraft supporting overnight freight operations across the United States. Converted from passenger service to freighter configuration, the 727-200F featured a large cargo door and reinforced main deck designed for palletized cargo. Powered by Pratt and Whitney JT8D engines, the aircraft provided reliable short and medium haul cargo capability. N6816 supported BAX Global's logistics network linking major distribution hubs across North America.
