Boeing 727-256, serial number 20956, entered service with Iberia as EC-CBF. The aircraft joined Iberia's narrowbody fleet in the late 1960s and operated domestic and European routes linking Madrid and Barcelona with major cities across the continent. Configured with business and economy seating, the 727-200 provided efficient service on short and medium haul sectors. Powered by Pratt and Whitney JT8D engines, the aircraft delivered reliable performance and became a backbone of Iberia's fleet during the jet age. EC-CBF supported the airline's growth before being replaced by newer twin engine aircraft.
