McDonnell Douglas DC-8-63F, registered N867BX, flew for BAX Global, the American logistics company formerly known as Burlington Air Express, as part of the carrier's fleet of converted DC-8 freighters supporting international cargo operations. BAX Global, headquartered in Irvine, California, operated a substantial freighter fleet connecting the United States to major logistics markets worldwide before the company's operations ceased in 2011, with aircraft like N867BX often passing between BAX Global and other cargo operators including Kalitta and Air Transport International over their operational lives.
