Boeing 707-430, registered D-ABOC, flew for Lufthansa as part of the German flag carrier's early fleet of 707s supporting long-haul international routes connecting Frankfurt to destinations across the Americas, Africa, and Asia during the 1960s. Lufthansa was among the significant European launch operators of the 707, using the type to rebuild the airline's long-haul international network in the postwar era before Lufthansa's later fleet expansion with 747s and other widebody aircraft in subsequent decades.
