Boeing 757-225, serial number 22202, entered service with Eastern Air Lines as N512EA. The aircraft joined Eastern's fleet during the early 1980s as part of the airline's modernization of its domestic jet operations. It operated short and medium haul routes across the United States and to Caribbean destinations, connecting major hubs such as Atlanta, Miami, and New York. Configured with first class and economy seating, the 757-200 offered improved efficiency, range, and passenger comfort compared with earlier narrowbody aircraft. Powered by Rolls Royce RB211 engines, N512EA provided reliable performance until Eastern Air Lines ceased operations in 1991.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Boeing 757-200

Designed as a narrow-bodied, twin-engined airliner to replace the 727, the 757 was first flown on February 19th, 1982. Developed in tandem with the wide-bodied 767 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 757 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. A total of 1050 aircraft were built before production ceased in 2004, however many airframes have since been retrofitted with drag-reducing blended winglets to help improve fuel economy.
