Airbus A310-204, registered HS-TIA, flew for Thai Airways International as part of the flag carrier's early fleet of A310s supporting medium-haul regional routes connecting Bangkok to destinations across Asia during the 1980s. Thai Airways was among the significant Asian operators of the A310, using the type to modernize its regional widebody capability before the carrier's later fleet expansion with A300-600s, 747s, and eventually 777s and A350s for its growing international network.
