Sud Aviation Caravelle, registered JY-ADG, flew for Alia Royal Jordanian Airlines as part of the Jordanian flag carrier's early fleet of French-built jets supporting regional Middle Eastern routes connecting Amman to destinations across the region. Alia, founded in 1963 under the patronage of King Hussein, used the Caravelle to build its early jet-age network during a formative period for Jordanian civil aviation before the airline's 1986 rebrand to Royal Jordanian.
