Douglas DC-6   3.25"   3.5"

Douglas DC-6, registered N6118C, flew for Alaska Airlines as part of the carrier's early fleet of piston-engine aircraft supporting domestic Alaskan routes and connections to the contiguous United States during the 1950s and 1960s. Alaska Airlines relied on the rugged DC-6 to serve the state's demanding operating environment, including gravel airstrips and challenging weather conditions, before the carrier's transition to turboprop and eventually jet aircraft in subsequent decades.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Douglas DC-6

Designed to meet a USAAF requirement for a larger-capacity transport than the C-54 (DC-4), the Douglas DC-6 was first flown on June 29th, 1946.
