Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, operated by China Eastern Airlines as B-227J. Built at Charleston, the aircraft was delivered to China Eastern in September 2025, flying from Paine Field to Shanghai Pudong on September 17-18. It entered revenue service on September 25, 2025 and is configured with four first-class, 26 business-class and 289 economy seats. B-227J is therefore one of the newer Dreamliners in China Eastern's fleet. By August 2026 it was operating both Chinese domestic sectors and long-haul services, including China Eastern's Shanghai-London Gatwick route.
