Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serial number 37449, line number 1208, operated by United Airlines as N24988. Built at Charleston in 2024, it was delivered to United on November 5 and entered passenger service on November 17. The aircraft wears United's distinctive "The Future Is SAF" special livery promoting sustainable aviation fuel. N24988 is configured with 48 Polaris business-class, 21 Premium Plus and 188 economy seats. Soon after delivery it began international flying, making its first visit to Australia on December 1, 2024 on United Flight 60 from San Francisco to Melbourne.
