Boeing 747-422, serial number 28861, entered service with United Airlines as N198UA. The aircraft joined United's long haul fleet in the late 1990s and operated intercontinental routes from hubs such as San Francisco, Chicago, and Los Angeles to destinations across Asia, Europe, and Australia. Configured with first class, business class, and economy seating, the 747-400 provided high capacity passenger service and modern inflight amenities. Powered by Pratt and Whitney PW4000 engines, the aircraft offered strong range and reliable performance. N198UA served as part of United Airlines' flagship fleet before the airline retired its Boeing 747 aircraft in 2017.
