Boeing 767-232, construction number 22347, was delivered to Delta Air Lines as N108DL in 1982 as part of the airline's introduction of twin-engine widebody jets. The aircraft operated domestic transcontinental routes and select international services, providing increased capacity and fuel efficiency compared with earlier DC-8s and 747s on similar routes. N108DL featured Delta’s two class cabin layout with first class and economy seating, along with updated inflight service standards of the early 1980s. The 767-200 offered strong reliability and range for Delta’s network. N108DL served for many years before retirement as the airline introduced newer 767-300ERs and 777 aircraft to modernize the fleet.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. With more than 1000 aircraft produced, the 767 is the second most prolific wide-bodied airliner after the 747. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
