Lotus Esprit

The Lotus Esprit is a British sports car that debuted in 1976, renowned for its sharp wedge-shaped design by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Initially powered by a mid-mounted 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the Esprit evolved over time with turbocharging and, eventually, a V8 in the 1990s. Lightweight construction and agile handling defined its driving experience. The Esprit gained international fame as James Bond's car in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), transforming into a submarine on screen. Produced until 2004, the Esprit became a symbol of Lotus engineering - blending striking design, performance, and innovation - cementing its place as an icon of British motoring history.
