In 1919, the Woodside-Astoria Transportation Company began operating a bus line in Queens County. In 1931, the company was incorporated with its present name, Triboro Coach Corporation. Triboro continued to handle Queens' bus riders until 2006, when all private bus lines in New York were taken over by the Manhattan Transit Authority.
