The fire-suppression package typically adds an onboard automatic system with heat-sensing nozzles placed around the engine bay and key hydraulic areas. When triggered, it floods the compartment with suppressant to help prevent catastrophic equipment fires. Manual activation controls are placed inside and outside the cab for redundancy.
