Dragon Models Dragon Wings 55519
Boeing 747 Diecast Model
Malaysia Airlines, "An Experience Redifined", Corporate Model

1:400 Scale   Length   Width
Boeing 747   7"   6"

An excellent colorful release from Dragon! This model is the product of over 150 passes in the pad-printing process. This aircraft has been repainted to celebrate a new level of service for Malaysia Airlines. Only one 747-400 was repainted with this livery.

Under "An Experience Redefined", the cabin of 17 Boeing 777-200 and 17 Boeing 747-400 are progressively refurbished with the latest technology, futuristic style and innovative design in cabin comfort. This also includes the training of its cabin staff on the upgrade to further enhance inflight service delivery. Capping the upgrade is the painting of the exterior of one B747 and one B777 aircraft, each with a different design specially created to introduce An Experience Redefined persona to the public, as well as to add a distinctive personality to each aircraft. The hibiscus for the B747 aircraft was incorporated into the first design as the main motif, based on its significance as the national flower. Its resplendent red tones add vibrancy to the overall look whilst lending a touch of Malaysian warmth to it. The free-flowing placement of the hibiscus (akin to its swaying in a breeze) also gives it a sense of flight and freedom.

Malaysia Airlines (Malaysia Airline System Berhad) is the national airline of Malaysia, serving international and domestic destinations. Today, Malaysia Airlines flies Boeing 747, Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft for its medium to long haul international routes, while the Boeing 737 is often used for shorter international destinations and domestic flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the airline's base. Malaysia Airlines has expressed interest in purchasing the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner and has signed a deal for 6 Airbus 380-800 aircraft. The first A380 will be delivered in early 2007 under a lease deal from its holding company Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad (PMB) and it will be used to provide additional capacity on trunk routes to Europe.

Boeing 747
