This model is highly detailed and realistically weathered to represent the M1046 operating with the 3rd Infantry Division as they moved toward Baghdad. The M1026 and M1026A1 HMMWVs are Armament Carrier configurations of the HMMWV family. The vehicles are equipped with basic armor and the weapon mount, located on the roof of the vehicle. The MM1026 and M1026A1 armament carriers provide mounting and firing of the MK19 automatic grenade launcher; M2, caliber .50 machine gun; and M60, 7.62 mm machine gun; ring-mounted with 360° arc of fire, with armor protection for crew, weapon components, and ammunition. The difference between the M1025, M1025A1, and M1025A2 armament carriers and the M1026 and M1026A1 armament carriers is that the M1025 and M1025A1 do not have winches and the M1026 and M1026A1 do. The M1026 and M1026A1 are equipped with winches. This feature permits recovery operations of similar vehicles. Fully-loaded M1026 and M1026A1 armament carriers will climb road grades as steep as 60% (31°) and traverse a side slope of up to 40% (22°). The vehicles ford hard bottom water crossings up to 30 inches (76 centimeters) without a deep water fording kit and 60 inches (152 centimeters) with the kit.

The 3d Infantry Division (Mechanized) - nicknamed the Rock of the Marne - is a United States Army infantry division based at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
In 1981 the US government awarded AM General the contract for 55,000 HMMWVs. This High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee) has assumed the military role previously filled by Jeep and is produced in several configurations: command and control systems, field ambulance, ammunition and troop and general cargo transport. Optional equipment includes a winch and supplemental armor. Variant armament carriers provide mounting and firing capabilities for heavy machine guns. The Humvee is equipped with a high performance diesel engine, automatic transmission and four wheel drive and is air transportable and droppable from a variety of aircraft. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc.
Dragon's 1:72 scale HMMWV Hummer is constructed entirely from plastic, which allows for the greatest possible detail. Close scrutiny of this model reveals its finer points, such as side wing mirrors with simulated glass, hand-painted headlights and tail lights, and transparent windows with wiper blades. The suspension has an accurately raised, hand-painted drive train featuring springs that are separately painted, differential gears with cooling fins and delicate steering arms. The wheels feature simulated rubber tires with easy-to-see tread. Releases in this series have a variety of added armor protection and removable top-mounted weapons such as a TOW missile system or machine gun.
